In this project, my goal was to create the initial AJH in a bitmap grid avoiding methods such as stair stepping and other simple measures of creating curves. Wanting to put a modern twist on the assignment, I opted for a system transforming the type into a rectangular form and breaking it down into more rectangles where the angles meet. My Inspiration for the typeface was based on geometric sans serif fonts that had a mix of both thick and thin stroke weights to add visual contrast to the overall piece.
